The University of Health (hsg), founded in November 2009 in Bochum, offers a range of study programs that are unique in Germany, divided in three different departments.

Special features of the hsg are a modern didactic concept, a close integration of theory and practice, early networking with external practice partners and an intensive study career chaperonage. As a partner of the health campus North Rhine-Westphalia, hsg offers its students extensive perspectives in the growing healthcare  sector. By designing master’s programs, hsg offers its graduates the opportunity to further their scientific education beyond the Bachelor’s degree.

Hsg students attend both interdisciplinary and subject-specific courses in their particular degree programs. The hsg prepares its students for the rapidly changing and more flexible work and performance requirements in the healthcare sector. In the future, the joint action of different professional groups will be an important prerequisite for the optimal care of the population. This interprofessional competence of the individual health professions is taught at the hsg in cooperation with different degree programs.
